Program maintenance and enhancements

After a busy time helping at the Olympic winter games, Ned started working on enhancing the Maxithlon programs. The main objective is to bring it to the latest PHP version as the previous versions are no longer supported by the new server.

While rewriting some of the code, small enhancements will be included. For example: autosave text and new user experience on the Bookmarks page and new selection field on the Competition page where you can type text and not only use the drop down. Other enhancements are done to the tools for operators and are not visible for the users. Unfortunately the weekly tests page needs to be redone.

We would like to use this opportunity to ask your input. Therefore we opened a new thread in the INT federation: [NEWS] Maintenance & enhancements

Working on the programs, some issues might get visible. Do not hesitate to report them in the thread. However, we count on your patience while Ned attends to them.

With this development, we want to ensure that Maxithlon keeps running when the server is updated.
